Lunch Times

Lunch Time is at 11:45 am for reception pupils, 12:00pm for KS1 pupils and 12:30pm for KS2 pupils. Some pupils will eat their lunch before going out to the playground, whilst others will go to the playground first and eat later. Lunchtime ends at 1:00 pm.

Parents can take their child home for lunch, although the majority of pupils choose to stay on the school premises. Pupils staying for lunch can choose to have either a hot lunch or a packed lunch. We request that there are no cans, glass bottles, fizzy drinks or sweets in pupils’ lunch boxes. This is intended to encourage healthy eating. Any type of chocolate or nut item should also be avoided as there are pupils in school with severe nut allergies.

Dolce are our suppliers of school meals. Dolce is a family business with a genuine interest in providing a good, honest and reliable service. The company was born out of a desire to improve upon the offerings of the private and public sector in respect to the catering service, the cleaning provision and maintenance and caretaking duties. The focus of the company has always been to provide a quality meal for the children using local suppliers, buying quality produce and making homemade style meals which are cooked fresh each day.

Your child can either chose their lunch on 'Live Kitchen' at home or at morning registration. To choose from home, please give your email address to the school office and a link will be sent to you.

Since September 2014 all children in Reception and Key Stage One are entitled to a free school meal under the Universal Free School Meal Programme.

School meals currently cost £2.20 per day – £11.00 per week., this can be paid by direct debit or credit/debit card though Live Kitchen or by cash/cheque on a Monday to the school office. If you are paying by cash/cheque, please ensure you keep your account up to date. Arrears of more than a week will incur a £10 late payment fee.

Any parent who has an entitlement to a free school lunch is asked to speak with Mrs Jackson in the office.
