The theme for this year's Science Week is 'Changes' and Class 1 have studied 3 areas: colour changes, changing seasons and changes in temperature. Take a look at some of the exciting things we have done!
Taste the Rainbow!
We investigated what happened when Skittles were mixed with soda water. We arranged our Skittles in a pattern and watched closely as the colours were dragged towards the centre of the plate. We represented our findings using chalk pastels on black card, using smudging to show the movement of colour. These are on display in Class 1 and in our cloakroom.

We are weather watchers!
We built on our learning from maths last week by looking at the weather and measuring temperature. We used thermometers to measure different beakers of water and worked with Miss Taylor to make our own plastic bottle thermometers for the playground.
