In our class, home learning is given out on a Monday.
It will consist of:
- a piece of English/Spag work
- a piece of Maths work
- Spellings
- The expectation to read at home
Home learning is due in on a Friday and should be placed in the pink box in the classroom.
Each child in Class 3 has their own reading book aimed at their current reading level.
If your child is not a free reader, they will bring home a book that supports their current learning in reading, as well as a book of their choice to read with an adult at home.
Our class also have group reading books that they will be expected to read weekly. Mrs Tinkler will give each group a set number of pages to read throughout the week.
Occasionally, children will be given pre-reading for the weekend that will support our reading lessons throughout the week. Please look out for this coming home and encourage discussion around the text.
This school year we are off to visit Edinburgh! During our time there we will be watching the London production of The Lion King which is a fantastic opportunity for our children.
If you are interested and haven't yet signed up, or need additional information, please contact Mrs Jackson in the office, or ask Mrs Tinkler for further details
