We did it... AGAIN!
Well done for all of our children who took part in the tennis competitions over the past few weeks. We took 3 teams to represent St Joseph's to Whitehaven Sports Centre, all children played well and two teams managed to get through to the next round at West Lakes Academy. Miss Smith and Miss Shore took team 1 and team 2 to West Lakes, again the children played extremely well and were a credit to the school. WELL DONE TO TEAM ONE WHO WON AND ARE GOING TO THE CUMBRIA SCHOOL GAMES TO REPRESENT COPELAND.
WOW! Team Copeland twice in one school year! Well done Class 2, you are super stars!
Tyler (C), Aaron, Lily and Keira will go on to represent Copeland.
What a brilliant day we had at the Copeland School Games 2017. We represented Copeland and had a super time. Well done to all of the children who were chosen to represent Copeland:
The children were well behaved and represented both St Joseph's and Copeland well.
WE DID IT!
What a spectacular time we had at the Copeland Gymnastics Final! We took a team who competed in the Key Steps 2 gymnastics brilliantly. The team were an asset to St Joseph's and did us terribly proud!
Well done to the competing gymnasts:
We were delighted when we found out we were first out of 6 schools! This means that we will go to Penrith on 30th March to represent Copeland. We are extremely proud and cannot wait. We would like to say thank you to Mrs Harper who took lots of effort to train us and prepare us for the competition.
Roll on the Cumbria School Games!
Well done to the members from Class 2 who represented our school at St Benedict's Football Festival this week. The teams played brilliantly and were a credit to St Joseph's. Our A team came 4th and B team came 3rd. It was a brilliant warm up and we are now extremely excited for next week when we start football training with our coach, Stuart Green.
Let's go St Jo's, let's go!
It was an absolute pleasure to take class 2 to our first sporting event of the year. The children were extremely well behaved and a credit to the school. They were all supportive of each other and worked as a team along the way. And most importantly, we are off to the final!
Well done to all children who took part!

This half term in PE we are focussing on dance. We have linked it to our topic of Spectacular Space. Here are some videos from our first PE lesson where we were thinking about the words twinkle, spin, rotate and explode and how we could represent these.
