St Joseph's Catholic Primary School has a proud educational history dating back to 1968.
The Governors vision for the school is to create a safe learning culture where people are highly motivated and committed to strive for excellence within an ethos of mutual respect; a place where everyone can maximise their potential and make a difference, regardless of where they have come from and what they can do already.
The children lie at the heart of all we do here at St Joseph's, and they are key in making the learning environment so successful and enjoyable. The staff team bring a high degree of professionalism and experience, working very hard to construct and promote a healthy, respectful, lifelong learning culture. We are committed to a strong ethos of educating the whole child.
The Governors have high expectations of all the staff and the pupils. We value the partnership with parents and aim to make ourselves approachable at all times. We recognise that parent support contributes hugely to our children's progress. We want parents and carers to understand how we work, while also being there to listen and respond to any issues they may have. We believe that parents and carers play a crucial role in supporting their children's time at school, and we see successful education as a result of strong and open relationships between school and families.
